| Randy
Johnson suffers from osteoarthritis of the knee and has
received injections of SUPARTZ since 2003 to alleviate
the pain associated with the disease. |
| |
| “Before
SUPARTZ, my knee would swell and it was extremely painful
to walk. SUPARTZ has helped me prolong my baseball career,
and I want people who suffer from osteoarthritis to learn
of alternatives to living with pain. |
| |
| “With
SUPARTZ, I have been able to delay knee replacement surgery,
and am able to maintain my active lifestyle without discomfort.” |
| |
“My
knee was not only stiff, but was locking and pitching
me forward as I walked. After only one injection, I could
tell the difference. And now my symptoms are completely
gone.”
- Thelma |
| |
“I
am now able to do things without pain that I was unable
to do before, like getting up off the sofa, climbing stairs,
and getting in and out of bed. And the pain in my knees
that kept me up at night is gone. I feel like a new person.”
-Beatrice |
| |
“For
over two years I had severe pain in my right knee every
time I took a step. After my five injections of Supartz
from Dr. Ginsberg, I am virtually pain free!”

10
ways to avoid or postpone knee surgery … |
| 1.
Weight loss. Losing just 15 pounds can cut knee pain in
half. |
| 2.
Physical activity. Strong muscles support the joint and
relieve pressure. Movement keeps tissues within the joint
flexible, lubricated and replenished with nutrients that
help healing. |
| 3.
Braces. Prescribed by a doctor and fitted by a physical
therapist, braces can improve the alignment of the knee,
relieving pain. |
| 4.
Corticosteroid injections. They help reduce inflammation,
which can alleviate pain without causing side effects
associated with oral corticosteroids. |
| 5.
Electrical stimulation. May reduce pain by strengthening
the quadriceps muscle (front thigh muscle) or even encourage
regeneration of cartilage cells. |
| 6.
Hyaluronic acid injections. Supplement a naturally occurring
lubricant lacking in the joints of people with osteoarthritis
(OA), may decrease pain and increase function. Injections
can be repeated every six months. (Call Dr. Ginsberg for
more information.) |
| 7.
Botox injections. Shown to relieve severe knee OA pain
and buy time before surgery. |
| 8.
Over-the-counter medications. Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and
Aleve can ease the pain. |
| 9.
Prescription medication. Ease pain and decrease inflammation. |
| 10.
Dietary supplements. The combination of glucosamine and
chondroitin helps repair cartilage in some people. It
reduces pain in people with moderate-to-severe knee pain. |
